Special yarns
Our collection features a unique segment defined by the use of “special” yarns sourced and developed in collaboration with leading Italian suppliers. Among these are jaspé and mouliné yarns, which utilise advanced dyeing and twisting techniques to achieve a distinctive, irregular appearance. These yarns showcase a range of nuances, resulting in fabrics that exhibit mottled and “salt and pepper” effects. This innovation allows for a reimagined take on the typical aesthetics of indigo and denim, presenting solid colours without the common solidity issues associated with indigo.
Additionally, we incorporate yarns blended with lightweight synthetic materials such as metallic polyester and lurex. These options create fabrics that shimmer and change in vibrancy as they catch and reflect light. The combination of these materials not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds a layer of sophistication to our designs, making them ideal for contemp. The quest for eco-sustainable products has increasingly highlighted the importance of using materials that are both environmentally friendly and functional. One notable addition to textiles is lyocell, commonly known by the brand name Tencel, which merges seamlessly with cotton for enhanced performance. Lyocell is derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp, making it a biodegradable option that respects natural ecosystems.
Fabrics incorporating lyocell offer exceptional moisture absorption, effectively wicking away sweat and providing a comfortable wearing experience. The inherent elasticity of lyocell fibres allows for greater durability and flexibility in clothing, adapting well to various forms and movements. Additionally, lyocell possesses natural antibacterial properties that contribute to hygiene and freshness, reducing the need for frequent washing and extending the lifespan of the garments.
By integrating lyocell into cotton blends, manufacturers not only promote sustainable fashion but also enhance the overall quality of the textiles. This combination provides consumers with the durability, comfort, and eco-consciousness sought in today's marketplace.
