Our collection features a unique segment defined by the use of “special” yarns sourced and developed in collaboration with leading Italian suppliers. Among these are jaspé and mouliné yarns, which utilise advanced dyeing and twisting techniques to achieve a distinctive, irregular appearance. These yarns showcase a range of nuances, resulting in fabrics that exhibit mottled and “salt and pepper” effects. New Marbas has always had a green philosophy in its DNA, respect for the environment and the search for fibres and raw materials that have a low impact on the ecosystem.
In accordance with our sustainability goals, a wide range of fabrics and garments made with 100% organic/bio cotton yarn is now available.
In order to be defined as such, organic cotton must come from organic plantations that meet the following requirements:

  • The seeds must not be genetically modified.

  • No fertilizer, pesticide or chemical insecticide must be used.

  • Defoliation must take place naturally.

  • The New Marbas Bio line offers thread counts ranging from single yarns in NE 20/1, 24/1, 30/1, 36/1, 38/1, on to twisted yarns in NE 60/2, 80/2 and obtaining superfine NE 120/2 yarns.
    In the interest of achieve valuable goals of sustainability, on December 2021 New Marbas Spa has received the Certification GOTS for the production of fabrics and garments made with:

    • 100% organic cotton

    • 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane

    The Global Organic Textile Standard is the most important international certification for sustainable production of garments and textiles made with natural fibres from organic agriculture.
